I’ve been doing more photoshoots lately and I’m so glad. Photography is a passion of mine and I absolutely LOVE shooting musicians, they have such great energy. I had the chance to reshoot Ruby Clouds a Latin/Alternative/R&B duo, but this time away from the stage. They were interested in getting some new photography and I absolutely couldn’t wait to take pictures. I was actually stalking Ruby on the side as a possible model of one of my designs and in the end she wore one during the shoot and agreed to model for me in the future if I ever wanted her to do so again. It turned out she loved my designs! It’s so great to be appreciated as an artist. It’s something I’ve really come to look forward to….finding out someone is just as much into your art as you are into their work. Artists unite!
At any rate, the amount of photography I took was almost unlimited, but I found that they were very open to trying new things….with me carrying my clothing and masks and other items I love to haul around sometimes for shoots. I decided to select the junk yard for the backdrop and they were able to secure the location. I felt a junkyard would give a certain edgy look to the photography as well as add interest. They were game and it was a blast. It was also somewhat dangerous with all the scrap metal and bits so if you ever go to a junk yard for a photoshoot I’d recommend wearing boots, not ballet flats like I was. I made it out just fine though in the end.
I loved working with the two of them and taking pictures of more than Below are some of the highlights of the initial photography, but I’ll likely add more images later on to show the other looks and locations we visited. Enjoy a tour of the highlights! until next time…..Travel Spritely!
